This is a variation on one of the recipies in Peg Bracken's
_I_Hate_To_Cook_Book_. It's easy and it's relatively fast, and it
tastes very good.
Ingredients:
4 pork chops (or 2 pork steaks)
3 green onions, chopped
3 or 4 large mushrooms, sliced
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 cup milk
salt and pepper
Directions:
Brown the pork chops, both sides, in a large skillet. Add the onions
and mushrooms and allow them to cook for about three minutes. Thin
the soup with the milk and pour the mixture over the pork chops.
Salt and pepper to taste. Cover, turn the heat to low, and simmer
for ten minutes or until the rest of dinner is ready.
Comments:
The mushroom gravy works well on rice or mashed potatoes.
